Pembroke College (officially "The Master, Fellows and Scholars of the College or Hall of Valence-Mary") is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge, England. The college is the third-oldest college of the university and has over 700 students and fellows .
Pembroke College, founded in 1347 by Marie de St Pol, Countess of Pembroke, is proud of its traditions. The third oldest of the Cambridge colleges, it was the first to have its own Chapel, and in the stained glass windows there and in our recently renovated Library is evidence of the way we make light of that history.
Here at Pembroke we’ve been offering international students the exceptional opportunity to live and learn in a Cambridge college with world-leading academics for over 40 years.
Location and student life. Located at the heart of Cambridge, we are also brilliantly placed for many University departments and everything that the city has to offer. Most of our beautiful buildings are from centuries past, but our community is resoundingly 21st-century!
Pembroke is an historic foundation dedicated to serve the common good through the provision of education and the promotion of scholarship and research. Since our foundation in 1624 this has been our core purpose, but Pembroke has adapted as the world around has changed.
Pembroke College. Pembroke is well known for being a really friendly College, partly because of our size (we admit about 130 undergraduates each year – small enough to get to know everyone, big enough to make friends with people you have loads in common with), but mostly because of our students!
