- About Us
The Penang Botanic Gardens is a botanical garden within the city of George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Situated at Jalan Air Terjun (Waterfall Road), it is also colloquially known as the Waterfall Gardens because of the cascading waterfall nearby.

Over a hundred years’ old, the Penang Botanic Gardens is where you can ‘escape’ to for a dose of greenery. It is famous for its flora and fauna namely the long-tailed macaque monkeys that roam freely in the gardens.

The walk around the gardens is easy, not too hilly, and with great pathways. There is so much to see from a wealth of Flora and fauna and many creatures from lizards, terrapins, butterflies, birds, and many monkies. Lots of macaques, and if you're lucky, you will see some gorgeous dusky leaf monkies quietly feeding.
Food and souvenir can be obtained from Botanica shop which is located beside Formal Garden. Facilities We provide several recretion area/picnic area, public toilet, access for disabled person, jogging track, stages, gazebo, jungle tracking, rest lawn and decorative ornamental plants.
