Dexter can change into and out of Freakazoid at will with the respective phrases "Freak out!" and "Freak in!". Freakazoid spends his inactive time in an area of Dexter's brain called the Freakazone, where he reflects and watches Rat Patrol reruns.
"Dexter's Date" is the first episode of season 2 of Freakazoid!, and the 14th episode of the series overall. Initially proposed as a short for season 1 and written by Alan Burnett, the episode was later extended to 22 minutes.
Dexter is on a date with Steff at a fancy restaurant, but is forced to leave to deal with the Lobe. However, Freakazoid ends up being electrified by the Lobe's television-stealing machine and is unable to transform back into Dexter and instead turns into different TV personalities, putting his date at risk.
Freakazoid inadvertently turns into Oprah Winfrey, David Letterman, Michael Jackson, Barney the Dinosaur, Alan Hale, Judge Lance Ito, Mae West, and Louis Armstrong before he's able to turn back into Dexter.
Dexter's Date is the first episode of the second season of Freakazoid!, and the fourteenth episode overall.
