Apr 18, 2022 · 3060 ti is the performance you’d want. 3060 is more 1080p. 3060 ti runs well on 1440P, recently switched from a EVGA RTX 3060 XC 12GB, to a Zotac RTX 3060 Ti 8GB OC LHR. Huge boost in performance for 1440P, as I’ve also undervolted the card a little bit. Reply reply.
The 3060ti is much closer to 3070 performance than 3060 due to being the same die I believe as the 3070. If it's within your budget I would get the 3060ti over a base 3060. Nov 5, 2021 · The 3060 TI is better than the 3060. 3060ti is around 30% faster than the 3060 and only 60 to 100 dollars more expensive. The 3060ti is the better GPU and better price to performance GPU. But obviously in times like these, you don't have too much of a choice, take which ever of the 2 is available to you.
The 3060 has a 192-bit configuration, which limited the choice of vram between 6 gb and 12 gb, so nvidia chose 12. The 3060 Ti has a 256-bit memory bandwidth configuration, which is not only faster but allows for 8 gb or 16 gb of vram. So even if the 3060 has more vram, it is slower than the vram on the 3060 Ti.

The RTX 3070 and 3060 Ti both have the GA104 chip except the one in the 3060 is cut down with 1024 less Cuda cores, which is just over a 17% difference, and 8 less RT cores. From benchmarks I've seen, the 3060 Ti is usually only 5 to 10 FPS behind the 3070. Is there any reason that warrants spending £100 more for a 3070?
Jun 30, 2023 · While the 4060ti has better performance with DLSS on, the 3060ti has better native performance, which can be important as many games still don't support AI frame gen. The point of the 3060 ti being faster with native performance is objectively not true. It is close, but the 4060 ti is on average ~10% faster.

It's 128% faster than the 3060 on average (referencing the source above) so it will give you some headroom for the future.
