It's not even an abandoned city, it's just a couple of abandoned buildings next to a perfectly functional city/town. There is a shopping center around the corner and during the summer the place is full of cars and people at the beach.

For some older games, BioShock is an underwater abandoned city. Amazing game. More light horror vibes (but I don't love super scary games so I don't think it's too bad). Also Portal 2 isn't a city so much, but definitely has a lot of sections that are overgrown/decaying. Reply reply.

This City District is filled upf with details and secrets and might be useful for social encounter that leads into bigger fight, maybe dangerous monster is roaming the streets and you'r players must hide to avoid it.
Horizon zero dawn, its a post apocalyptic story where hundreds of years after civilization was wiped out humanity has reverted back to tribal lifestyle, except they live in the ruins of our modern society so they interact with lots of abandoned modern buildings and machines/robots left over. So like Fallout 4 but actually good and way more out there and intriguing
It's not like it would've been extraordinarily difficult to find a hundred other places to film this particular video that would've had more interesting stories to incorporate into the videos about why those places were abandoned. Instead of just seeing some damaged buildings with graffiti all of 15 minutes away from a bustling area of business and residences.
