Aqua Hoshino「星 (ほし) 野 (の) アクア, Hoshino Akua?」, full name, Aquamarine Hoshino「星 (ほし) 野 (の) 愛 (あ) 久 (く) 愛 (あ) 海 (まりん) , Hoshino Akuamarin?」 or more commonly referred to as just Aqua「アクア, Akua?」, is the male protagonist and one of the titular characters of Oshi no Ko.
Aqua and Ruby attend Yoto High School, which offers a performing arts program only for students attached to a talent agency. Luckily for the kids, Ai's previous manager Miyako Saito adopted them and made them part of her company. A common critique of Oshi no Ko is that the reincarnation plot device is unnecessary.
Aquamarine "Aqua" Hoshino, formerly known as Gorou Amamiya in his past life, is the main protagonist of the 2020 manga series Oshi no Ko and its 2023 anime adaptation. He was a doctor in his previous life who treated patients including Ai Hoshino who was his favourite idol as well.
