May 16, 2021 · If so, remove it, restart the system and run set up again. This can be created during a unsuccessful or failed installation attempt. Verify that an application exception for the Canon installer exists in the windows firewall regardless of what the installer says it did, look for yourself and create if needed.

Dec 9, 2021 · This all likely has to do with the ARM 64-bit processor in the Surface Pro X. Normally you can install a 32-bit driver or app on the ARM 64-bit processor in Windows 10 Pro, but the Canon printer drivers are a combined 32-bit and 64-bit driver version which Windows 10 Pro on the ARM64-bit processor won't recognize.

Why the printer is going "offline". When you install the printer, the installtion sets up a connection using the IP address the router assigned the printer.
