  4. Dec 1, 2012 · You can use the torch out of your inventory to attack the spider nest. This brings the spiders out and causes the den to burn up. The down side the den burning does cause the dropped silk and eggs to pop. However if you kite the spiders that aggro you can get some silk from them.

  5. Get charcoal by burning trees but make sure that you don't burn down an entire forest. I like to make fire breaks by chopping down a lane between dense trees and then using a shovel to remove stumps. The easiest way though is to find a few trees by themselves.

  6. Jan 12, 2014 · I was having a look at the craftable items in Don't Starve, and a number of them ask for Charcoal. I figured you could just refine something to make it, but I don't see it on the list. Is there a biome where it is found or a creature that drops it?
