Feb 19, 2024 · SINGAPORE: China’s challenger to Airbus and Boeing’s passenger jets, the narrow-body C919 manufactured by the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (Comac), has made its first trip outside Chinese territory, staging a fly-by at the Singapore Airshow.
C919 is a domestically developed aircraft with 158 to 192 seats and a range of 4,075 to 5,555 kilometers. It obtained Type Certificate from CAAC in 2022 and started commercial operation in 2023.
