Jun 13, 2022 · Doom Patrol is serious in how it deals with absurd wacky situations. There’s a very heavy emphasis on the lives of the characters, mostly on acceptance of who they are and the normal life they left behind. That part sometimes got too depressing for my taste. It also had the occasional sexual themes, if you’re okay with that. (I remember an episode where the house was infested with ghosts ...
Jun 23, 2020 · Last year, I decided to take a stab at reading every Doom Patrol ever since I love the show and (by comparison to other comic books characters/teams) it's not all that much. Thanks to quarantine, I finally achieved this goal and have since arranged every single issue ever produced relating to the team and its members into a reading guide for fans (including noting which stories are non-essential).
And just now I finished the last episode. Now, I wasn't expecting a happily ever after, it's Doom Patrol after all. Dorothy's missing but okay. Vic finds his purpose after being a confused lost young man for the first 2 seasons. Jane accepting what happened to her was gut wrenching to watch. Glad she finds happiness and peace.
Doom Patrol has never been about Hope or happy endings. It's right there in the title. They are a patrol of doomed individuals. The take away is that it's not about the destination. it's about the journey. It's about learning to become more adaptive to the shit life will throw at you along the way. It's about trying when everything in you just ...
May 14, 2018 · Listen, the news is coming the exact same day I got my Doom Patrol by Morrison omnibus sent, so that's good news. Also, they are naming Crazy Jane in the synopsis. So they are taking inspiration from Morrison's run. Which is, imo the best thing they could do. I'm optimistic. It will be good. It may even be great. It's time for celebration!

Aug 22, 2021 · You can watch Titans and Doom Patrol individually. Like the other guy said they are on different Earths (9 and 21). There is a carry over of 3 actors (Elasti-Woman, Robot Man and Negative Man). Garth was part of the team in Titans continuity and was never even mentioned in Doom Patrol continuity. It's better they are separate. Half the wacky ...

It feels weird, as I have to say I feel like Doom Patrol marks an end of an era of superhero shows. I think this is the last live action DC show of the 2010s. I mean I don’t know exactly, but I feel empty. I’m still recovering from the last scene. But now comes the age of the New DCU where everything is connected, games, tv shows, and movies. I don’t think we’ll ever have something ...
