It is (I think) relatively common knowledge that in America, the first book in the Harry Potter series is called Harry Potter in the Sorcerer’s Stone, while in England it is called Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. As an American, the book I own is called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Oct 8, 2020 · Sorcerer's Stone Book vs. Movie. Currently Reading. So I just finished the first 5 chapters of Sorcerer's Stone and didn't realize how much was changed. Like Hagrid getting Harry ready for school and the lead up to the ride to King's Crossing. I didn't realize that there was a gap in time between meeting Hagrid and going to school.

Jul 11, 2023 · Film 4, quite frankly, was a horrid disaster, Film 6 didn’t bother including any of the scenes from Book 6 that were necessary for setting up the plot in Book 7, and therefore, Films 7 & 8 just made crap up to move the story along, and it came out contrived and cringeworthy. 1. Apr 15, 2022 · Sing_larity. No it doesn't because Philosophers stone is an actual mythical object. Sorcerer's stone is made up. I know that. I am talking about 'sounding'. If my memory serves me correctly, the sorcerer’s stone is for the American version of Harry Potter. All other films refer to it as the philosopher stone.
