I would call your surgeon and have this screwed back in as soon as you can. The main reason for this is to keep the tissue from growing over the implant causing an unnecessary surgery to be needed.

Jun 3, 2016 · The healing abutment should at least be as high as the tissue level. If it is, when the blood clot dissolves, the tissue should heal normally. If needed, a little tissue shaping with a laser can optimize results of the final restoration. I'm sure your surgeon would be happy to do a follow-up check and make sure the site is healing properly.
Nov 23, 2018 · I would not expect a patient to pay for a healing abutment / cover that was ingested . There is a cost to the dentist for a new one but I think it would be unreasonable for the patient to pay . One could argue that it may have not been tightened to a high enough torque allowing it to loosen and so be lost.
If it was the healing cap that has fallen out, it can be screwed back in by your dentist or your surgeon. If your implant has come out, and this is very unlikely, it cannot be screwed back in. If this is the case, you should immediately see your surgeon to evaluate the implant site, determine why the implant failed and propose appropriate care.
