My business program continued to work until last week. I've deleted the business application and tried to uninstall JAVA, of which there were two listed in my programs file. The one remaining that will not uninstall is JAVA 6 Update 17. The one that uninstalled successfully, I think, was JAVA 6 Update 16 (x86). Any ideas?
This happened after uninstalling java 8 update from my pc with a third party app called Geek Uninstaller, the reason i used geek uninstaller is because I wanted to fully remove java from my pc (including registry files) and then do a fresh reinstall, but now i can't even run the java 8 installer from the official java website (running the JavaDevKit17 installer works though).

On one of the machines to test, fully uninstall Java and then reinstall it but only install the 32 bit version. This will consume less CPU then the 64 bit version.
