  4. Mar 29, 2020 · Hadrian's Wall Path and Coquetdale in Northumberland National Park are really nice. It's also one of the darkest places in the country, so some good stargazing to be had. But the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are probably better for visiting little towns and villages within the parks. Northumberland is far more sparse.
