Jan 30, 2019 · Opened in 1958, the government-run public art gallery is housed in a modernist building with a pyramid-shaped blue-glassed roof, and regularly hosts exhibitions by various local and international artists – often enough that different visits will give you entirely different experiences!
Main Lobby. The main lobby is located at the first floor while the auditorium and the resource centre are located on the left. Resource centre provides information on arts for students and communities. It also has internet connection. Gallery 1 is at the right of the main lobby. It is suitable for big scale of display.
National Art Gallery is known in Malay language as Balai Seni Lukis Negara. This gallery displays paintings, sculptures, batik and other works done by artists from Malaysia and all over the world. Gallery houses more than 2,500 works of art that you can appreciate and admire while you are in the city of Kuala Lumpur.
