In October 2019, Nayel and Lucifer V rode double clear in the CSIO Rabat Nations Cup, helping to qualify Team Egypt for the Olympic Games for the first time in 60 years. Nayel currently competes on the international circuit as part of the team at Evergate Stables, with the goal of competing individually for Egypt in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
