Jul 18, 2022 · Hot Start Difficulties. S1 owner: Mine takes 5 seconds to start if it’s really hot…. I’d love mine to turn over as fast as urs😭😂. This. I recently did an S2 starter upgrade and it's night and day difference. Previously I had slow hot starts just like in your video.

I had a problem like this on my old GM it might be the same for the RX8.. if you follow the power cable to the alternator there should be a relay or a fuse or some type of brake in the middle... Because the alternator is not charging the battery so there's something losing something, power somewhere.. try that 1st.

I've had an ND for 2 years now and other than things like oil changes and replacing brake pads/rotors i have had ZERO issues. the ND was also about as fast as the RX8 on our local track and now with just a few mods and 300tw tires it's FASTER than my S1 RX8.
Sep 5, 2023 · The basis for this swap is the Renesis (Rx8 2004-2012) motor is doggggg at taking boost not that it can't take boost... The problem is the exhaust ports and how its designed. When Exhaust gasses leave the Renesis engine it has to make a sharp 90 degree turn out of the housing. No Exhaust header change is gonna help. Nov 14, 2021 · The rx8 is much easier all around, have no qualms about servicing and minor repairs and upgrades. Yes. They are more fragile, they aren’t cheap to repair, they make crap for gains if you aren’t turbo, and if you turbo they become even more fragile. The Renesis engine is very finnicky and prone to issues.

That's how it tells you that the immobilizer is preventing it from starting. Looking for a winter project and found an rx8 with an immobilizer issues. Guy said it went start.
