Chey Tae-won (Korean: 최태원; born December 3, 1960) is a South Korean billionaire businessman who is a chairperson of SK Group, the country's second largest conglomerate [2] that mainly engages in energy, chemicals, telecommunications, semiconductor, and biopharmaceutical businesses.
As with many other chaebols, SK Group's chairmanship was 'inherited' from father to son: from its founder the late Chey Jong-hyon to its present chairman Chey Tae-won (eldest son). Chey Tae-won was married to the daughter of the former South Korean President Roh Tae-woo until 2015.
