Taipei 101 comprises 101 floors above ground, as well as five basement levels. The first building to break the half-kilometer mark in height, [ 11 ] it was the world's tallest building from 31 March 2004 to 10 March 2010 (six years) [ 47 ] [ 48 ] until it was surpassed by the Burj Khalifa in 2010.
