尖沙咀（英文名：Tsim Sha Tsui，亦作尖沙嘴），古称尖沙头，旧名香埗头。昔日东莞一带遍植香木，香木树根所榨得的汁能作香料，名为莞香。由于香港水路交通便利，故香料会先集中贩运至尖沙咀，再用船运至港岛黄竹坑的石排湾，然后从水路运往内地。
