Jul 22, 2015 · This is the ubiquitous Taiwanese Wei Lih Men bowl. In fact, it’s two bowls. Let me demonstrate. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a dual bowl before, and as far as I know, the only instance of this in existence.
Wei Lih Men (Chinese: 維力炸醬麵; pinyin: Wéilì zhájiàng miàn) is a Taiwanese brand of instant noodle that is marketed by the Wei Lih Food Industrial Co., Ltd. in 1973. This dry noodle concoction actually comes with two bowls – one for you to create the soup base and the other for you to stir and toss the noodles after you've drained the noodles.

In different parts of Taiwan, there is also a combination of thin noodles, home-rolled noodles and instant noodles. One famous product derived from the Zhajiangmian is the instant noodle brand Wei Lih Men (維力炸醬麵) which is popular with Taiwanese people since its release in 1973.
Wei Lih is probably most well known for their Wei Lih Men, a variety which has both a soup and a noodle with black bean paste. I’ve never seen this variety before, and it’s been a while since I’ve reviewed anything new from them – or at least new to me.
