My whatsapps apps has upgraded to version 2.12.94 and now i am no longer able to scan the web QR code from my whatsapp app inbuilt scanner. The code is displayed from the web whatsapps but while using the mobile whatsapp to scan the code, the mobile(HTC M8 Android 5.0.1) and PC is not being paired. Thanks to provide for a solution.
Jan 21, 2021 · Unfortunately, the only way is to migrate WhatsApp to a device that does have a relevant camera. But as the article in the question's first comment mentions, you can emulate such a device and thus use WhatsApp directly in your computer (i.e. run Android in your computer). It'll be slow and unfriendly though.

It works after a Backup & Reset: Make a new local backup (via settings -> chats -> chat-backup) uninstall WhatsApp. install WhatsApp. Login via Phone number and sms verification (even when there's a backup) Whatsapp finds the local backup and asks if you want to import it.
