May 9, 2022 · I want to download audio only - does youtube-dl provide the right quality in MP3 format? Question? I have decided to download a couple of songs that are not available on CD/physical format. Having used youtube-dl (using Videomass as gui) I chose MP3 format and it automatically did it in 128 bitrate.
Mar 30, 2022 · It takes the 128kbps file and re-encodes it to 320kbps. So then what you have is a file that was re-encoded from it's original file, let's just say it was a 1,000kbps wav/flac, that was encoded down to 128kbps by Youtube.
I've downloaded a few songs with it so far and will be using it to download a few more today and again in the future when the need arises.
