The site I used, https://ytmp3.cc, worked fine, but now I am getting adware popups. I searched for ways to remove it but every site I have seen so-far either offers paid malware removal or gives instructions that are invalid.

Sep 26, 2019 · I see notification pop-ups clearly labeled as ytmp3, suggesting to clean up my mac in various ways (indeed, but I won't click on those ads). They seem to appear spontaneously, not triggered by some activity I do. And I did use the ytmp3 Web site a few days ago (dumb of me!). The Web browser is Chrome. I'm using macOS 10.14.6. Oct 20, 2023 · YouTube is rolling out blocking the use of all ad blockers. You most likely just add YouTube to exclusions hopefully. Nov 23, 2023 · In my case, I don't know the cause or what I did that made this happen. When I uninstall and reinstall chrome it'll be gone until I restart the PC again. It would automatically start and open a Youtube tab and close the Chrome. I also tried Malwarebytes and Windows defender to scan but I didn't solve the issue.

I used a link that McAfee site advisor tagged as safe and then clicked from that page to the downloader site, a site that I'm 99% sure I've used before to download things like MBAM and Super-Anti Spyware, so I'm pretty sure it's safe.

Oct 6, 2016 · No, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware removes Youtube AdBlock completely. If you are using Chrome, you may have to remove the Extension manually under Tools > Settings > Extensions. Remove the checkmark and click on the bin behind the Youtube AdBlock entry. This PUP creates some scheduled tasks.
