However, clicking on Microsoft Project in the app redirects me to the online version. I would like the Desktop version. Would you be able to send it to me?
Sep 16, 2023 · My subscription is showing with the 'Project Online Desktop Client'. I followed the steps in the article and clicked install project, but it just setup Microsoft office 365 on my desktop. These are the windows that pop up. When I'm in Microsoft 365, it takes me to the browser app. I've already used the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant.
Feb 21, 2020 · Purchased and have a product key for an older version of Microsoft Project and cannot find where to download and install on the new surface pro 7 I recently purchased. Going through the help chat, call service and forums has only sent me in a loop asking to install office 365 which I have done multiple times with no success to use, open or even enter the product key I have.
Oct 21, 2022 · Note: If project isn't listed as an install option under Apps & devices, it could mean you don't have a license or you have Microsoft project assign license which doesn't include the desktop version of project. E.g., Project Online Essentials doesn't include a desktop version of Project.

In some situations, some users may see the Project for Office (Plan X) license assigned. They aren't the Project application related license.
