Apr 7, 2017 · 7 April 2017 at 10:34AM. Hi all, I recently moved out of a block of flats. Previously, it was a single dwelling, and converted to flats just before I moved in. Separate water meters were never fitted by the landlord, despite my raising this early on. I also tried (unsuccessfully) to have the supplier send me an unmetered bill.
Apr 8, 2017 · There is no unmetered bill, but the landlord has a bill based on the single meter that has always been in place for the building. The building never had multiple meters fitted (i.e. one for each flat), and has been on a single meter since it was converted into flats, and during the whole of my tenancy (a number of years). Jan 13, 2007 · Basically the LA just divides the bill for the total block equally by the number of flats & creates an invoice, irrespective of the size of the properties or number occupants (both vary within the block). Jan 20, 2023 · the tall block of flats in london, tall and wide needed new windows, lighting, new roof ie convert to pitched, now heating etc etc - the bill share was around 26 k from mem and these people were one of the few that had bought the place the 100/150 flats were coucil owned and did not have to pay - not sure what they did re money but they were crying

May 23, 2021 · 23 May 2021 at 10:29AM. A quick Google suggests 20 litres an hour running water from a loo, that 86 m3 for 180 days. That according to TW should result in a bill of circa £250 so yes your looks high with nearly 600 m3. The other option are other leaks on your side of the meter or you are paying the entire block's bill.
