Oct 22, 2020 · Blade Runner effectively created an aesthetic that is still with us today. This. The original obviously has Rutger Hauer's iconic performance as Roy Batty and the Vangelis soundtrack, but practically everything else is executed far more effectively in 2049. Including Harrison Ford's performance as Deckard IMO.

Mar 31, 2019 · Blade Runner already had a ton of empty space because everyone who could afford to leave Earth for the Outer Colonies did. In 2049, with rising ocean tides, and entire cities cleared out either by radiation (Vegas) or converted into giant landfills (San Diego), Earth is 30 years closer to death.

Nov 11, 2017 · i disagree - the end of the original is necessarily vague, there's no implication that replicants are fundamentally human rather it leaves the question open for the viewer. nor do i think the movie even tries to answer this question as it's ultimately unanswerable, it's a fun thought experiment...

Jul 24, 2021 · If anything grain was more prominent on blu rays than 4k.i recently watched Stargate on blu ray and found the film grain to actually appear much larger than any 4k movie I've watched. And in general movies with dark scenes or indoor shots or any combination of those will have the appearance of having more grain versus outdoor daylight shots.
