Jaya Prada is the recipient of three Filmfare Awards South and has starred in many Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi films.
At an early stage of her career Jayaprada was first offered a 3 minute dance in a Telugu film named Bhoomi Kosam after a film director saw her performing in her school annual day and was paid 10rs for the 3 min act. And in 1977, she starred in Adavi Ramudu, which broke box office records and which permanently cemented her star status.
