The MSci is exactly what it says on the tin; it's a masters of science degree. I don't actually know of many universities that offer MSci courses and how it differs from an MMath, but there you have it. I'd also be interested in how many people go from BSc-->MSci rather than MMath--> MSci... but I don't know much about it.

An MSci is an undergrad master of science, no it doesnt count as postgrad but it is still the same academic level as an MSc. Hi, I am a 3rd year BSc student and we have been given the option to transfer to the 4 year MSci version of my course (conditional on obtaining at least a 2:1) which didn't exist when was first applying for my course. The first 3 years are identical to the course I am currently doing with 1 extra year at the end being the difference.
SFE pays the total length of the course (+1 *gift year) so a 4 year MSci is fully funded for 4 years. If it's a BSc plus MSc then SFE pays the 3 years for the BSc (tuition plus maintenance) but for the MSc you only get a postgrad loan (£10.6k but no maintenance loan). *The gift year is in case you fail a year or change course and restart.
