Its pacing and rhythm are invigorating and spell-binding, and the story simply is a marvelous depiction of diverse characters all in their very deepest anguish. I get a feeling of great excitement and vigor just watching the prologue, which I find brilliantly hilarious.
We watch the Magnolia Network on Discovery+ as well as HGTV. It seems that the episode flow on Discovery+ is very slow all of a sudden. Does anyone have a sense of whether they are running out of gas (ie money, viewership, maybe even partnership issues between the Gaines' and Discovery?). Aug 11, 2017 · Disclaimer: Magnolia is my favorite movie, so my opinion is somewhat biased. One criticism I frequently hear of Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia is that it falls apart towards the end. That the climactic rain of frogs is ridiculous and not in keeping with the rest of the film -- but I think the ending is part of what makes the movie work so well.

A different setting, but same in the way it is following a close group of young rich people with lots of drama, toxicity, and you get that same feeling where you just love the characters through all their flaws.

However, I will say the following..... (1) I don't like the Scott Brothers either, but I would have guessed they were far more likely to be given their own network before Chip-n-Jo.
