Hans Niklas Kronwall (pronounced [ˈnɪ̌kːlas ˈkrûːnval]; born 12 January 1981) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman, who currently serves as an advisor to the general manager of the Detroit Red Wings.
Niklas Kronwall was a defenseman known for his offensive game and ability to absolutely wreck unsuspecting opponents with huge open-ice hits. An excellent skater with great agility and balance, he was a quality passer of the puck, too.
