May 6, 2019 · Senior Member. "He envisions a day when..." is a figure of speech meaning "He imagines a future time when..." In English we also say "someday" or "some day" to mean a future time. Our dictionary defines "someday" as meaning "at an indefinite time in the future". In all these examples "day" is not important. It just means a future time.

But can I say "It happens the same day of the other one" ? For example: "The party is on the same day of the wedding ". The party is on the same day as the wedding.
