May 30, 2009 · Yes, I think "satisfaction" is misused here. I would use "satisfactory". (Thank you for the example, by the way; it's much easier to discuss such questions with a real-world example.) To say the AF is still far from satisfaction sounds like the goal is to satisfy the AF, not the other way around. Even then, it's an odd way to put it.

Hi: As far as i understand (take it with a pich of salt), dissatisfaction has to do with an expectation that was not met to your wishes, a result that fell short from your expectation. Unsatisfaction is just an expectation that has not been met at all. Regardless of the way you wanted it to be met. cheers.
