Sep 7, 2024 · Collins, O'Shea and Scales have all been playing regularly and well at the start of the season, as has Duffy (in a ball-playing Norwich team, no less). I think Robbie Brady would be the starting LB, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Scales tried out there. I imagine we'll end up going with a sort of 4-4-2/4-5-1 with Szmodics and Idah up top.

And if you're playing three centre halves and one of them is Shane Duffy then you shouldn't be playing.wkth three of them either. All this at a time when our player pool is gradually improving too. There's a good nucleus there for a strong 4-3-3 and with options in most positions, except midfield where things are tight.

Wherever it is, I'm certain Hallgrimsson not ruling out Greenwood but then also not calling him up either doesn't cross it, that's for sure.
Feels like either McGrath, Taylor or Sykes would have been a useful addition in midfield, as well as Johnston and Cannon further forward.
