there are at least two answers that often arise. The first is "reddit-the-company," which is a legal entity responsible for maintaining and building the platform (servers, code). The second is "reddit-everything," which is both reddit-the-company, plus the community, their contributions, the brand, etc.

It strikes me that Yishan has an axe to grind, and we shouldn't necessarily take his posts at face value. This is especially true in light of the Gawker write-up, because his post very well could have been written with the intention of receiving a platform on Gawker, which you know, is loving the Schadenfreude right now.
Aug 14, 2017 · And I can't imagine Yishan convinced anyone here-- it's not the best argument. Some folks are going to say "exactly- I've been saying this for years!" and others will say, "oh my god, why are you encouraging violence!" ...and no minds are changed. The only thing he's "getting people to think about" is a potential civil war, which isn't the greatest way to win hearts and minds.

Aug 14, 2017 · The "OMG NAZIS!!1!" threat is highly overblown by the attention and revenue-starved media and ignorant narcissists on social media (there's MAYBE 5K actual Neo-Nazis in the US), but the core idea (learn to protect yourself" is one I can support.
I expected there to be more of a variety here, such as: woolen socks, toe socks, tube socks, socks with holes in them, mismatched socks, ankle socks, silky smooth socks, bed time socks, gym socks, stockings. You gotta step up your game, chief. 13 8. u/yishan.
