It just wouldn’t make sense considering this movie's purpose is to introduce more people to the IP. Tbh though the longer we wait for a season 2 the better. If they take their time making it the chances of the season being of high quality are better. Plus I'd rather the ride last as long as possible.
Bocchi the Rock was far more popular than anticipated, so they have a wildly popular show but not the preparation required to make a season 2 any time soon. This is probably just to keep their valuable fanbase together for another year or two until they can get a proper second season out.
Another bunny girl senpai season, Spyxfamily, Bocchi and my dress up darling being the confirm projects with probably countless others that haven’t been announced. They have a crazy amount of projects and are probably going to grow to the same size as A-1 Pictures eventually.

May 21, 2023 · A lot of people praise Bocchi for its amazingly creative animation and relatable comedy, but the music in this show also goes HARD. Like, it goes way harder than you would think for it being just an anime. These songs can go head-to-head against some genuine (popular) rock bands out there.
For all the money Bocchi made, Cloverworks only got a small piece of it, and its production costs are high. (Per leak on Baidu) A movie is a small investment for the studio, but it can end up making like hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit for a low-effort, low cost venture. A place like Cloverworks really needs these cash infusions.
