Cherry Magic was doomed from the start. If I recall correctly, they couldn’t show the trailer at the 2022 showcase, because there was a delay in the rights, and it also pushed back filming for months. Given the Cherry Magic anime is due in January, I suspect one of the rights holders may not have thought through the distribution of both series.
Cherry Magic Thai version has really exceeded my expectations. I am so glad they didn’t try to force the Thai version to be what the Japanese version was. It took on its own course and incorporated cultural differences found in Thai culture. And of course, it gave us a really good rooftop kiss a la GMMTV BL. I still like the Japanese version ...
