In the totorial the define run can be opened in the CFX-Pre, but I could not find the Define run button. The only way for me to open the Define run is in the CFX solver but most of the iterms are not chageable..What is wrong with it?? Thanks.
Jun 2, 2017 · FSI simulations are relatively easy to do if you are familiar with both packages: structural (ANSYS), and fluids (CFX/Fluent); however, if you are new to both packages, you are better off following the tutorials step by step and familiarize yourself with the vocabulary used by the packages used.

Jul 26, 2012 · 1) Start CFD Solver, it shows you Define Run dialogue box. 2) Select solver input file as 256.trn. 3) Select Initial values specification tick and use 256.trn as file name for the initialization file. 4) Start the run. You may not see 256.trn if you are not saving the trn file at each timestep.
Nov 6, 2015 · I am currently trying to model fluid through a partially open valve. The geometry, mesh, and CFX-Pre all seem to save okay and work, no issues there. However, when I go to run CFX-Solver, the message: "The CFX Setup case file no longer exists. Continuing in an initial state." followed by: "Cannot Define Run without a valid definition file!"
Nov 20, 2012 · Rep Power: 18. Double click on your fluid domain to bring up its details, then go to the "Fluid Models" tab. Under "Heat Transfer" choose which energy equation you want to solve. Probably thermal energy is fine for your case.

Aug 6, 2007 · I am trying to compile a simple UDF (mentioned below) on a 64 bit 4 processors Linux Machine. The default interconnect is ethernet. The UDF runs well on series. In parallel, I am able to build and load the library successfully. I checked it created a 3ddp_node and 3ddp_host directory in the lnamd64 (architecture) folder.
