If you want to do that you'll need to remember to also delete all of the Dropbox data off your computer because that is a folder on your machine like every single other one (it isnt special). Unfortunately i don't have a clear set instructions to share on how I achieved this, but something along the line of below seemed to help: 1) Make a random folder path online only. 2) Close dropbox app.
March. exact same issue here, the only difference is I am constantly on VPN. dropbox desktop app has been working fine on my PC for years and this started to happen just a couple days ago on both my personal PC and work PC. have tried 1) turning off firewalls; 2) restart PC; 3) reinstall dropbox but no luck. 0 Likes.

I am on a Mac, so I am attaching an old Windows screenshot: In the current version, you may see your account/profile photo instead of the gear icon. The go to the Import tab, and uncheck the Enable camera uploads.
