Aug 22, 2023 · Install the forticlient app from MS Appstore. This installs a vpn type in the Windows native vpn gui. So you can do ssl vpn to Fortigate with the look and feel of Windows vpn. Tried it on Windows 10, worked but was a pain with split tunneling. The Windows IKE parameters are pretty terrible by default.

However it this being pushed via EMS to your Mac, you cannot change it. And as @rowankaag mentioned, you CAN use IPSec to connect with either Shrew, native IPsec, etc. 1.

Happens for the binaries downloaded by the FortiClientVPNOnlineInstaller.exe wrapper on both client and server Windows SKUs, all fully updated, including the root cert stores. It looks like the signature on the file is malformed somehow, since the signing certificate as such has a valid certification path.
We're running a Fortigate 100D, and having some trouble with the SSL VPN via FortiClient. I installed FortiClient on an external Windows 7 PC a few days pack and the SSL VPN connected and worked.
The FortiClient EMS server can push out VPN configurations to endpoints under it's control. We're using the FortiClient for VPN only, and it works like a charm. Our firewall is connected to Active Directory, so users can authenticate to the VPN using their domain credentials. FortiGate 80C (older model).
