If you can get a libre 2 prescription from your consultant, I would assume that changing your prescription later to the Libre 3 would be a logical progression.

This batch's expiration date is 30 November 2023, so 10.5 months in the future. The first batch (received 4 October 2022) had an expiration date 5 months in the future (28 February 2023).
Jun 21, 2023 · The Libre 3 is not available at present for GPs to prescribe "normally" on general prescription. Abbott have not made an application for the Libre 3 to be made available for "normal" prescription. On another thread on this forum someone was told by their consultant that a 12 month supply of Freestyle Libre 3 sensors costs the NHS £1,800.

Finally, in 2020/21 Abbott and their main cgm competitor Dexcom, sued and countersued each other in Germany, the USA and the UK for patent infringement of the technology used in their respective glucose monitoring systems.
Jun 20, 2022 · Libre 2 sensors store 8hrs of data (having sampled every 5min), but with the Libre 3 sampling every minute is there a corresponding reduction in the time period that the data covers or have Abbott increased the storage capacity to cover the additional quantity of data?
