Mar 25, 2024 · Whenever I use start up word I get the following pop up "Sign in to get started with word". I click on the 'Sign in or create account' button. Next I fill in my email adress that is linked with my microsoft office 365 subscription. When the email is filled in I grey window pops up that does not go away.

Aug 8, 2018 · Report abuse. Try to repair the office with the procedure below: Go to Control Panel >> Add and Remove Programs and highlight Microsoft Office. Click on Remove. A menu will pop up allowing you to choose repair or reinstall. Try a Repair Online and verified after repair it fix.

Microsoft Word 365. I moved a document from one folder to another. Now when I try to open the document, one I created, I am getting a MS Account login. How can I get rid of this? I can open the document if it is emailed to me but once Word is involved, it asks for a login and I have no idea what it is looking for. Please help. Thanks. Sharron

Dec 5, 2023 · Here are some steps you can try to resolve this persistent sign-in prompt: Sign Out and Clear Credentials: Open Word, click File > Account > Sign out under User information. Go to Control Panel > Credential Manager and remove the Windows Credentials related to Microsoft Office. Open Word and then sign-in again to resolve the issue.
Oct 22, 2017 · Quit all Office apps. Right click windows icon>Run>type "regedit" then press ENTER to open the redistry editor. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity, delete the whole Identity folder. If the steps above don't work, create a new Windows user profile to see the result.
