The excavations uncovered a primary burial of a year old human skeleton (Zuraina Majid 1994). This skeleton was named "Perak Man" as it was found in the state of Perak in Malaysia. The Perak Man skeleton was an exceptional find as it was the most complete Paleolithic human skeleton so far discovered in Southeast Asia.
Perak Man - the oldest skeletal remains found before this - was believed to have lived between 10,000 and 11,000 years ago in the Lenggong Valley in Perak’s Hulu Perak district in 1991.
