I think its use was abolished in Britain by George V as part of the "de-Germanification" of the Saxe-Coburg family, which became the House of Windsor. Apr 6, 2021 · 4. In itself and without context, the phrase is not ambiguous. The direct meaning is. "You have an enemy. I want to meet them." However, adding cultural knowledge to the context, this phrase can deliver a lot of subtext. Take the old adage "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" as context.
Royalty - these are very particular, since they act as a complete replacement for the person's name (Your Majesty, Your Honour, Your Royal Highness, etc) You can refer to these and these links for more info about them.
Jan 18, 2021 · Jan 18, 2021. #2. I can think of 2 meanings: 1) He is addressing someone, and calling them "highness". You call kings that. 2) Life is pain, and life is highness. Here "highness" means "being high on drugs". EDIT: meaning 2 is incorrect. See next post.

It is said that many aristocats in the Han Dynasty had 阙门 set up as part of the walled strcutures around their resident entrances. A symbol of the owners' social and economic standing.

Please itself is cast in the infinitive (non-tensed, non-inflected) form because it is the complement of the modal auxiliary verb may, which is the finite head verb of this clause.
