The isolation Level buffs can be situational usefull, like the culture conversion cost for specific runs, but most of them are pretty mediocre, especially because you can only get 1 level at once. Confucian is actually really strong since the buff.

Shinto was the first polytheistic faith I encountered and helped me understand the animist connection I had felt with the world since childhood. Oct 25, 2023 · Unless you switch religious laws I don't think it matters since Buddhism is accepted anyway. Strictly worse really only do it for the rp. If you do do it you need to go to state religion to actually convert people to Shinto. And probably religious schools as well.
Aug 13, 2015 · No, Shinto is the best eastern religion, +10% moral is great. Japan also gets an event chain to convert catholic, I'd recommend ignoring those too, stay Shinto. No DOTF and it's still a bland religion, but it syncs well with Japanese ideas. Catholic into Protestant or Reformed can work well, actually.
