Istana Jahar yang terletak berhampiran dengan Istana Balai Besar adalah di antara istana-istana yang menarik yang terdapat di sekitar bandar Kota Bharu. Malah Istana Jahar ini juga telah mula dibina dalam masa pemerintahan Sultan Muhammad II (1837-1886) setelah pembukaan bandar Kota Bharu dan pembinaan Istana Balai Besar .
The Istana Jahar was a royal residence in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia. It was built in 1855 by Sultan Muhammad II of Kelantan for his grandson Raja Bendahara Long Kundor. The palace has a pentagon-shaped porte-cochère with the first floor balcony from which members of the royal family could watch ceremonies held in front of the palace.

Istana Jahar is a former palace built in 1887 during the reign of Sultan Muhammad II for use as a royal residence by Raja Bendahara Long Kundor, who was third in line to the throne. It was named after a jahar tree which was growing in the grounds at the time.

Apr 9, 2018 · Antara muzium best yang ada di Kota Bharu adalah Istana Jahar. Ia merupakan istana lama yang kini dijadikan Muzium Adat Istiadat Diraja Kelantan. Ia tubuhkan pada tahun 1992, dan pernah menjadi tempat bersemayam al-marhum Sultan Ismail Ibni Sultan Muhammad ke-IV (1920-1944).
