The 2011 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London in the United Kingdom. It was the 125th edition of the Wimbledon Championships and were held from 20 June to 3 July 2011.
Novak Djokovic defeated defending champion Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–4, 6–1, 1–6, 6–3, to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. It was his first Wimbledon title and third major title overall.
The match took place on the final day of the 2011 edition of the 13-day Wimbledon Championships, held every June and July. Rafael Nadal was the world no. 1 entering Wimbledon, and was the top-seed in Wimbledon for the first time in his career. Djokovic was the world no. 2 and was seeded second.
