Tun Dr. Che Abdul Daim bin Zainuddin (Jawi: عبدالدائم بن زين الدين; born 29 April 1938) is a Malaysian politician and businessman who served as the Minister of Finance from 1984 to 1991.
Jan 29, 2024 · Beliau dilahirkan pada 29 April 1938 serta anak bongsu daripada 13 beradik. Bapanya bekerja sebagai kerani kerajaan, manakala ibunya seorang suri rumah. Memulakan pendidikan awal di Sekolah Melayu Seberang Perak sebelum melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat menengah di Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid (KSAH), Kedah dan Institut St Xavier, Pulau Pinang.
Beliau dilantik sebagai Menteri Kewangan pada 14 Julai 1984 setelah Perdana Menteri menawarkan jawatan itu kepadanya – era bermulanya kegemilangan beliau sebagai pengurus dan pentadbir wang negara. Pelantikan beliau dibuat oleh Perdana Menteri ketika itu, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad .
