Detroit L2 - 5César Salazar (born March 15, 1996) is a Mexican professional baseball catcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). From Hermosillo, Mexico, Salazar moved to Tucson, Arizona, when he was 16 and later attended the University of Arizona, where he played college baseball for the Wildcats.
During the 2022 season, he split time between Double A Corpus Christi (85g) and Triple A Sugar Land (17g)...notched a .265 batting average (97x366) with 58 runs, 18 doubles, 16 home runs, 60 RBI, eight stolen bases and a .783 OPS (.338 OBP/.445 SLG).
