Jan 17, 2022 · Cars 3 is boring and it sucks, especially the ending. It would have been better to see Storm and McQueen face off with technology vs technique. And Storm was a wasted character, my kids think he’s the coolest anyway. With Cars (1) it's just a story that takes place in a place that feels natural for vehicles to exist in. Cars 2 had none of the metaphors at all. Cars 3, seems to be using the idea of what a car is rather than the setting as the foundation of its story.

The worldbuilding issues aren’t as major, the story is a lot more interesting and meaningful, and it’s a lot less obnoxious overall. It’s no masterpiece but it’s still a good film. 3.

The whole time I was thinking even though Lightning is old and everyone thinks he can't race anymore, he will beat Jackson Storm. But in the end, he quits and gives his position to Cruz Ramirez.
